Endangered Species Habitat Management

BHE has evaluated volumes of data pertaining to the endangered Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis). Data on habitat use, life history requirements, and the geographic range of this species have been collected and input into Ultimap®.

BHE biologists have a long history of working with this species, and we are recognized as a leading biological consultant with expertise in surveying for the Indiana bat, recognizing the specific habitat requirements of this species, and developing management strategies and plans to assist our customers in working through the regulatory maze of permitting requirements assosicated with this species. Ultimap® provides both a visual and a collaborative environment that allows the user to identify critical issues and move forward through the analysis phase to reach mutually beneficial decisions.

Through Ultimap®, users can view the comprehensive species databases that have been developed by BHE's federally permitted biologists and others.
